April 2026 — Ponant Explorations has unveiled a jazz-themed Baltic cruise for early 2027. The voyage highlights the brand’s growing focus on cultural experiences at sea.

Voyage Overview

The 11-day cruise, titled “Jazz Festival, from the Baltic to the North Sea,” will sail aboard Le Commandant Charcot. It will depart from Helsinki and conclude in Bergen from January 23 to February 2, 2027.

Along the route, travelers will visit destinations across Northern Europe. These include Tallinn, Stockholm, Visby, Gotland, Skagen, Kristiansand, Egersund, and Lysefjorden.

Music-Led Cultural Experience

Ponant developed the voyage in partnership with Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Festival Marseille Jazz des Cinq Continents. As a result, guests will enjoy concerts, jam sessions, and curated performances.

The program will also feature a tribute to Antônio Carlos Jobim and Stan Getz. Their collaboration helped shape modern jazz.

The musical lineup will focus on Bossa Nova and Swing. Saxophonist Julian Lee will lead the performances with his quartet.

Additionally, vocalist Mar Vilaseca will join the group. Pianist Caelan Cardello, bassist Russell Hall, and drummer Matthew Lee will also perform.

Moreover, award-winning artist Kadri Voorand will appear during the voyage.

Experience and Pricing

The cruise forms part of Ponant’s Timeless Explorations program. It combines travel with learning and cultural immersion.

Fares start at $13,380 per guest. Furthermore, guests who book before April 30, 2026, will receive a complimentary hotel stay in Helsinki.
