Limassol, Cyprus, April 2026 — Emerald Cruises has officially launched its newest luxury yacht, the Emerald Kaia, marking a key milestone in the brand’s fleet expansion strategy.
The 128-guest vessel recently completed its transit through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal. It has now departed from Limassol on its inaugural voyage.
Fleet Expansion Milestone
The launch of Emerald Kaia comes alongside another development within the Scenic Group portfolio. The company confirmed that the Emerald Astra successfully completed river trials and will enter service in May 2026.
According to Glen Moroney, the twin launches highlight four decades of innovation in travel.
Onboard Features and Guest Experience
Emerald Kaia introduces a range of premium amenities designed for a boutique luxury experience.
Key highlights include:
- La Cucina Restaurant with an open-plan kitchen
- Soleá Bar & Bistro offering Mediterranean-inspired cuisine
- Night Market Grill, an exclusive private dining venue
Additionally, the Wellness Deck offers:
- Salt therapy lounges
- A cold plunge pool
- A full-service spa
Suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows. Moreover, new interconnecting suites cater to families and group travelers.
Deployment Plans for 2026–2027
For the summer 2026 and 2027 seasons, Emerald Kaia will operate cruises in the Adriatic Sea. These voyages will run between Venice and Dubrovnik, with itineraries lasting eight to 15 days.
Later, the vessel will reposition to the Indian Ocean. From December 2026 to March 2027, it will sail across the Seychelles, offering voyages ranging from eight to 20 days.
Future Fleet Additions
Emerald Cruises also confirmed further expansion plans. The Emerald Kaia will be joined by:
- Emerald Raiya in 2027
- Emerald Xara in 2028
As a result, the company continues to strengthen its presence in the luxury yacht cruise segment.
