Variety Cruises Launches New Adriatic Island-Hopping Itinerary for 2027

Variety Cruises has announced a new seven-night Adriatic cruise itinerary, set to launch in April 2027.

The new “Croatia Island-Hopping & Montenegro” voyage will operate weekly roundtrip departures from Dubrovnik aboard the 34-guest Callisto.

The itinerary combines Croatia’s popular islands with lesser-known destinations. It also includes a visit to Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor, offering guests a two-country cruise experience.

New Adriatic Itinerary Focuses on Island Exploration

The Variety Cruises Adriatic itinerary 2027 aims to offer a slower and more immersive way to explore the region.

The voyage will visit Croatian destinations including Vis, Lastovo and Mljet. In addition, guests will explore the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro.

The itinerary focuses on local history, culture and traditions rather than simply visiting major tourist attractions.

Filippos Venetopoulos, CEO of Variety Cruises, said the company wants guests to connect with the stories and traditions that have shaped the Adriatic region.

“Our goal isn’t simply to show guests beautiful places—it’s to help them understand the stories, cultures and traditions that continue to shape them today,” he said.

Guided Excursions and Cultural Experiences Included

Prices for the seven-night voyage start at $2,190 per person.

The cruise includes four guided excursions covering Dubrovnik Old Town, Mljet National Park, Hvar and Kotor.

Guests can also enjoy local cultural activities, including wine tastings and cooking or cocktail demonstrations.

Meanwhile, optional evening experiences allow travelers to explore traditional Croatian taverns, known as konobas, and villages in Montenegro.

Mediterranean Dining and Onboard Amenities

The itinerary includes 14 onboard meals featuring Mediterranean and regional cuisine.

Wine, beer or soft drinks are included with every onboard lunch and dinner. In addition, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the voyage.

With accommodation for just 34 guests, Callisto offers a small-ship cruise experience focused on exploring coastal destinations.

Swimming and Water Activities in the Adriatic

Another feature of the new itinerary is the company’s Variety Swim Experiences.

Guests can swim directly from the ship in secluded Adriatic bays. They can also use complimentary kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and snorkeling equipment.

These activities provide opportunities to explore the coastline beyond traditional shore excursions.

Variety Cruises Expands Its 2027 Adriatic Offering

The new itinerary adds another option for travelers seeking small-ship cruises in Croatia and Montenegro.

By combining island visits, cultural activities and water-based experiences, Variety Cruises aims to offer a more relaxed way to discover the Adriatic.

Weekly departures from Dubrovnik will begin in April 2027, with the seven-night voyage starting at $2,190 per person.
