MSC Cruises will deploy eight ships across Europe for the 2027-28 winter season, expanding its presence with itineraries in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and the Canary Islands. The deployment includes six ships in the Mediterranean, alongside dedicated winter sailings in Northern Europe and the Atlantic islands.
Five Ships to Sail the Western Mediterranean
MSC Cruises will position five vessels in the Western Mediterranean, led by the new MSC World Asia. The LNG-powered ship, set to debut later this year, will continue year-round operations with seven-night itineraries calling at ports in Spain, France, Italy, and Malta.
The MSC Euribia and MSC Lirica will also offer seven-night cruises, visiting a variety of destinations across Spain, France, Italy, and Tunisia.
Meanwhile, the MSC Seaview will spend its first winter season in the Western Mediterranean. The vessel will sail to ports in Italy, Spain, France, and Malta, although its current schedule includes a 64-day gap between mid-January and late March 2028.
Completing the Western Mediterranean lineup, MSC Magnifica will operate 10-night cruises before departing on its 2028 World Cruise.
Eastern Mediterranean Cruises Continue
In the Eastern Mediterranean, MSC Orchestra will offer winter itineraries featuring calls in Italy, Turkey, and Greece. The deployment allows travelers to explore popular cultural and historical destinations throughout the region.
Northern Europe and Canary Islands Itineraries
Additionally, MSC Preziosa will operate winter cruises in Northern Europe, visiting destinations in England, France, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands.
At the same time, MSC Fantasia will spend the season in the Canary Islands and Madeira, offering seven-night itineraries with stops in:
- Santa Cruz de Tenerife
- Arrecife de Lanzarote
- Funchal
- Other popular Atlantic destinations
These sailings provide travelers with warmer-weather options during the European winter.
MSC Fleet Continues to Grow
With the planned introduction of MSC World Atlantic in late 2027, the MSC Cruises fleet will expand to 25 ships for the 2027-28 winter season.
Beyond Europe, MSC Cruises will also deploy ships across the Caribbean, South America, Asia, South Africa, and the Middle East, offering a diverse range of itineraries between late 2027 and early 2028.
Expanding Winter Cruise Options
The 2027-28 deployment highlights MSC Cruises’ continued investment in year-round cruising across Europe. By operating ships in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and the Atlantic islands, the company offers travelers a broad selection of winter cruise experiences while supporting growing demand across multiple regions.
