Germany | April 2026 — AIDA Cruises has launched an Innovation Hub to mark its 30th anniversary, inviting start-ups, universities, and companies to submit forward-looking ideas.
Focus Areas for Innovation
The initiative will accept entries across three key categories:
- Decarbonization
- Sustainability
- Artificial intelligence and smart tools
Selected finalists will present their concepts to a panel of experts, including:
- Meike Jipp from the German Aerospace Center
- Anisa Rizvanolli from Fraunhofer CML
- Ali Arnaout from Wismar University of Applied Sciences
Winners will gain the opportunity to further develop their ideas in collaboration with AIDA.
Anniversary Celebrations Across Germany
AIDA will also host a series of celebratory events in major German ports:
- June 7, 2026 – Hamburg
AIDAsol, AIDAperla, and AIDAprima will participate in a parade on the Elbe River - June 20, 2026 – Kiel Week
AIDAnova will be featured during the major maritime festival - July 4, 2026 – Warnemünde Week
AIDAdiva will return to its historic homeport, where the company began operations in 1996

As part of the anniversary, AIDA has launched a campaign titled “Hi AIDA let’s celebrate!”, encouraging:

to share photos and memories from the company’s 30-year journey.
