TTC Tour Brands expands portfolio with Rhine and Danube sailings

April 2026 — Trafalgar has officially entered the river cruise market with the christening of its first vessel, the Trafalgar Verity.

The launch marks a major expansion for the company, part of TTC Tour Brands.

Inaugural sailing on the Rhine

The Trafalgar Verity will begin its inaugural cruise on the Rhine River.

Before the official launch, journalists and travel advisors joined a preview sailing to Hoorn.

This allowed guests to experience the onboard offering firsthand.

Fleet expansion with sister ships

The Trafalgar Verity was chartered from Uniworld Boutique River Cruises.

Previously, the vessel operated under the name River Queen.

In addition, Trafalgar will launch a second ship, the Trafalgar Reverie.

This vessel, formerly known as River Princess, will operate on the Danube River following its christening in Passau.

Strategic move into river cruising

With this launch, Trafalgar expands beyond guided land tours into river cruising.

As a result, the company can offer more integrated travel experiences.

Moreover, the move aligns with growing demand for immersive and small-scale travel.

Enhancing travel experiences

River cruises allow travelers to explore multiple destinations with ease.

Therefore, Trafalgar aims to combine its guided tour expertise with cruise-based travel.

This approach offers:

  • Seamless itineraries
  • Cultural experiences
  • Comfortable onboard stays

Outlook

Trafalgar’s entry into river cruising signals a broader shift in the travel industry.

Companies continue to diversify offerings to meet evolving traveler preferences.

With its new fleet, Trafalgar is well positioned to compete in the growing river cruise segment.
