Phnom Penh / Vientiane – Cambodia Airways has announced the launch of a new direct air service connecting Phnom Penh, Cambodia, with Vientiane, Laos, strengthening regional air connectivity and opening up fresh travel opportunities between the two neighbouring countries.

The inaugural flight will take off on 29 January 2026, with the route operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. The new service is designed to support growing demand for cross-border travel, tourism and business mobility within Southeast Asia.

Flight KR765 will depart Phnom Penh at 2:10 pm, arriving in Vientiane at 3:55 pm, while the return service, KR766, will leave Vientiane at 4:55 pm and land in Phnom Penh at 6:50 pm.

The introduction of this route is expected to enhance convenience for travellers and enable seamless multi-destination itineraries, particularly for tourists exploring the Greater Mekong Subregion. By providing a direct air link, the service reduces travel time and strengthens people-to-people and economic ties between Cambodia and Laos.

The new connection also reflects Cambodia Airways’ ongoing strategy to expand its regional network and support tourism development, trade and cultural exchange across Southeast Asia.

With both Phnom Penh and Vientiane serving as important political, cultural and economic centres, the route is poised to appeal to leisure travellers, business passengers and government officials alike, further reinforcing regional integration through improved air access.
