Holland America Line will honor the United States’ 250th anniversary with special events, entertainment, and dining experiences during July 4 weekend cruises.
Fleet-Wide Independence Day Celebrations
Holland America Line has announced special programming across its fleet for America’s 250th birthday.
Guests sailing during the holiday weekend can enjoy live music, themed activities, special meals, and commemorative gifts.
The cruise line said the events will highlight American history, culture, and traditions. Select cruises will also feature additional anniversary celebrations.
“We’re excited to bring the spirit of America’s 250th anniversary to life across our fleet,” said Michael Stendebach, senior vice president of food, beverage and rooms division for Holland America Line.
Entertainment and Onboard Activities
Ships sailing in North America on July 4 will host special celebrations through the “Soundtrack of America” program.
Guests can enjoy live music performances and festive events throughout the day.
The schedule will include lawn games, Fourth of July trivia, scavenger hunts, and cooking demonstrations.
The demonstrations will feature classic American dishes and holiday favorites.
Special Dining Experiences
Holland America Line will offer Independence Day-inspired food and drinks across the fleet.
Guests can enjoy patriotic breakfast and dinner options. Special beverage selections will also be available.
These offerings are designed to bring traditional Fourth of July flavors onboard.
Stars & Stripes Anniversary Cruise
A special “America’s 250th Celebration: Stars & Stripes” cruise will depart from Boston, Massachusetts, on July 4 aboard Zuiderdam.
The sailing will visit important American destinations. These include Norfolk, Virginia, and New York City, where the ship will stay overnight.
Guests will also experience a “Great American Songbook” concert celebrating American music.
Travelers on the Stars & Stripes cruise will receive an exclusive commemorative bandana.
Guests on other Holland America Line cruises will receive a special America’s 250th anniversary keepsake pin.
