Emirates Introduces Premium Economy on Mauritius Routes

Emirates will introduce its Premium Economy cabin on two flights between Mauritius and Dubai from September 1, 2026.

The new service will give Mauritian travellers more comfort and greater choice. It will also provide easier access to Emirates’ global network through Dubai.

Premium Economy will operate on flights EK703/704 and EK709/710. The A380 will operate the first service, while a retrofitted Boeing 777 will operate the second.

The A380 will offer 56 Premium Economy seats. The aircraft will also feature 76 Business Class seats and 437 Economy Class seats.

Meanwhile, the Boeing 777 will include 24 Premium Economy seats. It will also offer 38 Business Class seats and 214 Economy Class seats.

Enhanced Travel Experience

The Emirates Premium Economy Mauritius service is designed for travellers seeking additional space and comfort.

Each seat measures 19.5 inches wide. It also provides generous legroom and recline. Six-way adjustable headrests and footrests add further comfort.

Passengers will also have access to in-seat charging points. A wood-finished side cocktail table and a 13.3-inch entertainment screen complete the cabin experience.

In addition, passengers can enjoy an enhanced dining service. The experience begins with a welcome drink served in fine glassware.

Meals feature seasonal ingredients. Emirates serves them on Royal Doulton china and offers an expanded beverage selection.

More Benefits for Passengers

Premium Economy passengers will also receive sustainable amenity kits. The service includes dedicated blankets and larger pillows designed for the cabin.

Furthermore, passengers can benefit from priority boarding. They can also use a dedicated Premium Economy check-in area at Dubai International Airport.

From Dubai, travellers can continue their journey to destinations across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Emirates said the Premium Economy experience is now available across an expanding network of routes.

Popular connections include selected flights to Bangkok. All six daily services to London Heathrow also offer the cabin.

Continued Investment in Mauritius

Emirates has operated in Mauritius since 2002. Since then, the airline has supported the island’s tourism industry and promoted Mauritius to travellers across its global network.

The introduction of Premium Economy represents another investment in the market. It also responds to changing customer demand for greater comfort and choice.

Customers can book the Emirates Premium Economy Mauritius service through Emirates’ website, the Emirates Travel Store in Caudan or their preferred travel agent.
