Hyatt Expands Into Guyana
Hyatt Hotels Corporation and RJR Investments & Holdings Inc. have added Atlantic Suites Hotel to the Hyatt portfolio. The move marks Hyatt’s first affiliated hotel in Guyana.
Atlantic Suites Hotel sits in Georgetown, Guyana’s capital and commercial hub. The property currently serves business and leisure travelers with spacious accommodations and modern amenities. Hyatt also lists the hotel on its official website as part of its Guyana portfolio.
Looking ahead, RJR Investments & Holdings plans to connect the existing hotel with a new adjoining tower. The approximately $50 million development should create Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana in 2028.
$50 Million Hotel Expansion
RJR Investments & Holdings plans to build a new tower next to Atlantic Suites Hotel. A pedestrian bridge will connect the two buildings.
Once the project reaches completion, the combined property will operate as Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana. The expanded hotel will feature 240 guestrooms and suites.
In addition, the development will introduce several new facilities. These will include a signature restaurant and market, lobby and rooftop bar, and meeting and event spaces.
The expanded property will target business, leisure and group travelers.
Atlantic Suites Serves Business Travelers
Atlantic Suites Hotel currently offers spacious rooms and suites for business and extended-stay guests. The hotel features dedicated workspaces, free Wi-Fi and views of the city or ocean.
Guests can also use the hotel’s 24-hour fitness center. In addition, the property offers on-site dining and a 24-hour market.
Guests can access additional amenities at the neighboring Pegasus Hotel and Pegasus Corporate Business Center. These facilities provide meeting and event space, dining options and recreational amenities.
Strategic Georgetown Location
Atlantic Suites Hotel gives travelers convenient access to Georgetown’s business district. The property also sits near government offices and major corporate locations.

Hyatt Strengthens Its Guyana Presence

Hyatt Place Guyana Georgetown also forms part of the company’s Guyana portfolio. The property offers 136 accommodations, a rooftop bar, outdoor pool and fitness center.
Hyatt’s development pipeline also lists Atlantic Suites Hotel in Guyana.
Together, these developments will strengthen Hyatt’s presence in the country’s growing hospitality market.
World of Hyatt to Expand in 2028
Atlantic Suites Hotel will join the World of Hyatt loyalty program when the property transitions to the Hyatt Regency brand.
The move will give World of Hyatt members additional opportunities to earn and redeem points in Guyana. Members can use the program for eligible stays and other participating experiences.
As a result, the expanded property could attract more international business and leisure travelers.
