Hapag-Lloyd Cruises to Celebrate 20 Years of ‘Europa’s Best’ with 10 Michelin-Starred Chefs

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its renowned “Europa’s Best” culinary event by welcoming 10 Michelin-starred chefs aboard the Europa on August 21, 2026.

During the celebration, the ship’s Pool Deck will transform into a vibrant culinary promenade. Guests will enjoy live cooking, gourmet tastings, and premium wine experiences throughout the event.

Ben Schütz, chef de cuisine aboard the Europa, will host the event. He will welcome 10 acclaimed chefs from five European countries. Together, they hold 23 Michelin stars, making the gathering one of the cruise line’s most prestigious culinary showcases.

The participating chefs include Kevin Fehling, Marco Müller, Marcel Skibba, Thorsten Bender, Dirk Luther, Martin Stopp, Jurgen van der Zalm, Thomas Dorfer, Dieter Koschina, and Tanja Grandits.

In addition, 10 European wine experts and 10 haute cuisine specialists will join the celebration. They will serve guests at dedicated degustation counters featuring fine wines and signature dishes.

Meanwhile, guests can still book a few remaining suites for the four-night cruise, “Enjoyment in its Highest Form,” which runs from August 21 to 25, 2026. The itinerary starts in Hamburg, visits Aeroskobing and Copenhagen, and ends in Kiel.

Alternatively, food enthusiasts can purchase one-night promenade tickets for €399 per person. Hapag-Lloyd Cruises began selling the tickets online on June 30, 2026.

The cruise line offers the four-night voyage from €3,190 per person, based on double occupancy in a PLATINUM suite without a veranda.

The anniversary edition of “Europa’s Best” highlights Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ commitment to exceptional gastronomy. Moreover, it brings together celebrated chefs, award-winning cuisine, and luxury cruising in one unforgettable experience.
