Traveling across the Netherlands has become more affordable this summer. The country’s national railway operator has introduced the NS Flex Dal Vrij subscription, allowing unlimited off-peak train travel for just €49 per month.
The new offer supports the growing trend of slow travel and encourages visitors to explore more of the country by rail.
Unlimited Train Travel for €49
The Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) launched the summer rail pass in partnership with the Dutch government. The subscription costs €49 per month and is available for up to two months.
Normally, the same subscription costs €127.95 per month. Therefore, the summer promotion offers significant savings for both tourists and residents.
Anyone who purchases the subscription by June 30 can enjoy unlimited train travel during off-peak hours, weekends, and public holidays.
When Can Travelers Use the Pass?
The NS Flex Dal Vrij pass is valid on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Additionally, travelers can use the pass throughout the weekend. It becomes valid from 6:30 p.m. on Friday until 4:00 a.m. on Monday.
However, the subscription does not cover Eurostar services. It remains valid on almost all domestic trains operated by Dutch railway companies.
Explore the Netherlands by Rail
