Princess Cruises and Holland America donate $175K to Alaska veterans facility
Princess Cruises and Holland America Line have pledged $175,000 to rebuild a veterans facility in Ketchikan, strengthening their long-standing connection to local communities.
Specifically, the donation will support the reconstruction of the historic Joseph T. Craig, Post 3, operated by the American Legion. The building, which had served the community for more than 85 years, was destroyed by arson in September 2023.
Funding breakdown for Alaska veterans facility rebuild
The total cruise line donation for the Alaska veterans facility includes:
- $100,000 from the Princess Foundation
- $75,000 from Holland America Line
In addition, Holland America’s contribution includes funds raised through its On Deck for a Cause program.
