The TUI Group has unveiled the winners of the TUI Global Hotel Awards 2026, recognising the hotels that delivered outstanding holiday experiences to more than 20 million TUI guests worldwide. Announced at a dedicated ceremony in Berlin on March 2, the awards highlight excellence across 22 categories, including several newly introduced lifestyle-focused distinctions reflecting evolving travel preferences.
Industry Celebration in Berlin
The annual awards recognise top-performing hotels within TUI’s extensive portfolio of more than 13,000 properties worldwide. Winners are selected largely through guest feedback collected via post-stay surveys, ensuring the honours reflect genuine traveller experiences.
“At a time when guest expectations continue to evolve, these hotels haven’t just delivered – they’ve inspired,” said Sebastian Ebel, CEO of TUI Group. “Their commitment to exceptional service and unforgettable guest experiences sets a global benchmark.”
Of the 22 categories presented this year, 20 are determined directly by guest satisfaction data, with only the Sustainability Award and Lifetime Achievement Award selected by industry experts.
New Categories Reflect Modern Travel Trends
For 2026, TUI expanded the awards programme to better represent current travel habits. New lifestyle-focused categories celebrate hotels excelling in areas such as family experiences, gastronomy and customer service.
According to Stefan Baumert, Chief Commercial Officer Markets at TUI, the updated format aligns with how travellers now choose their holidays.
“These new categories allow us to recognise excellence across a wider range of hotel styles and guest expectations,” Baumert said.
Lifestyle Category Highlights
- Family Friendly Hotel: TUI MAGIC LIFE Sarigerme – recognised for its waterfront setting and extensive family activities.
- Food & Gastronomy: Liberty Hotels Lykia Adults Only – praised for its seven gourmet dining venues and international buffet.
- Customer Service: Mike’s Hotel & Apartments – known for warm, family-run hospitality.
Only hotels ranking within the top 10% Customer Satisfaction Score (CSQ) across TUI’s network are considered for nomination.

A Four-Decade Tradition of Hospitality Excellence
TUI’s hotel awards programme dates back more than 40 years. It began in 1984 with the Gold Medal Awards launched by TUI UK & Ireland, followed by the TUI Holly Awards introduced by TUI Germany in 1994. Both initiatives were designed to recognise hotels consistently delivering exceptional service based on guest feedback.
Today, the TUI Global Hotel Awards continue that tradition on an international scale, spotlighting hospitality leaders who set new standards for the travel industry.
