Navan and Vibe have introduced new Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, allowing travel managers and corporate travelers to access travel services through popular artificial intelligence (AI) platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
The launches mark another step toward integrating AI into corporate travel management while keeping travel management companies (TMCs) at the center of the booking process.
Navan Expands AI Access to Travel Data
Navan’s MCP server initially offers read-only access to travel and expense data. Travel and finance administrators can use conversational prompts to analyze spending, review travel policies and generate reports through compatible AI assistants.
For example, users can ask AI to summarize departmental travel spending or identify teams with the highest out-of-policy expenses.
The company plans to expand the platform in the future. Upcoming capabilities will include approving expenses, updating travel policies and booking business trips directly through AI-powered interfaces.
According to Navan, the MCP server uses more than a decade of travel and expense data to deliver context-aware responses.
Navan Partners with Hilton
In addition to the MCP launch, Navan has announced a direct integration with Hilton Worldwide.
The partnership connects Navan directly to Hilton’s central reservation system (CRS) through booking and content APIs. As a result, customers will receive real-time hotel rates, room availability and property information directly from Hilton.
Navan said it will become the first travel management company to integrate directly with Hilton’s reservation and content systems. The rollout has already begun and will expand across its customer base in phases.
Vibe Brings AI Booking to Corporate Travelers
Travel technology provider Vibe has also launched its own MCP server. The platform enables corporate travelers to search, book and manage flights, hotels and rail travel through AI assistants, including ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
Users can also manage itineraries, complete payments and access company travel policies while remaining within their travel management company’s approved booking process.
According to Vibe, the MCP server allows TMCs to offer AI-powered travel search without building their own AI infrastructure.
Supporting Travel Management Companies
Vibe emphasized that the technology complements rather than replaces travel management companies.
The company’s first live customer is ITG Business Travel in the United Kingdom. The travel management company is currently testing the platform with corporate clients to evaluate its AI-powered booking capabilities.
As AI adoption accelerates across the travel industry, both Navan and Vibe are positioning MCP technology as a way to improve efficiency while maintaining the expertise, policies and support provided by travel management companies.
