Airline to Provide Next Update on 06 March at 0900 Doha Time
Doha | March 4, 2026
Qatar Airways has announced a temporary suspension of scheduled flight operations due to the closure of Qatari airspace.
The airline confirmed that services will resume once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority declares the airspace safe to reopen. A further operational update is scheduled for release on 06 March 2026 by 0900 Doha time (0600 UTC).
The carrier expressed appreciation for passengers’ patience during the disruption.
Booking Flexibility for Affected Passengers
Passengers holding confirmed bookings with travel dates between 28 February and 10 March 2026 are eligible for:
- Complimentary date changes of up to 14 days from the original travel date, or
- Refund of the unused portion of their ticket.
Due to high call volumes, the airline has advised customers to contact support only if travelling within the next 48 hours.
For later departures, passengers are encouraged to manage their bookings via the airline’s website or mobile application. Customers who booked through travel agents or third-party platforms are advised to contact those providers directly.
Travelers currently in Doha are encouraged to consult the airline’s FAQs for location-specific guidance.
