Disney Cruise Line Expands Sailings in California and Texas with Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 Itineraries, giving families on the West Coast and in the Lone Star State more opportunities to sail closer to home. The newly released itineraries feature additional voyages from San Diego, California, and Galveston, Texas, covering popular destinations across the Caribbean, The Bahamas, Mexico, and the Pacific Coast.
Early bookings for the fall 2026 and spring 2027 season will open on August 25, 2025, for select Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club members, with general bookings opening September 2, 2025. Full details and bookings are available at https://www.disneycruise.com.
California Dreaming with Expanded San Diego Sailings
For the first time, two Disney Cruise Line ships will sail from San Diego, significantly expanding California-based cruise options.
The Disney Magic will operate from San Diego for two months, offering three- to seven-night itineraries during October and November 2026. The ship will then reposition to Texas on a special 14-night voyage from San Diego to Galveston, featuring calls at Puerto Vallarta, Cartagena, and Grand Cayman.
Joining Disney Magic, the Disney Wonder will be homeported in San Diego for seven months, sailing from October 2026 through April 2027. Guests can choose from three- to seven-night cruises visiting Catalina Island and Mexican Riviera favorites such as Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, and Puerto Vallarta.
Lone Star State Magic from Galveston
As part of how Disney Cruise Line Expands Sailings in California and Texas with Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 Itineraries, Texas will see an extended cruising season.
From November 2026 through April 2027, the Disney Magic will sail from Galveston on four-, five-, and seven-night itineraries. Destinations include Cozumel and Progreso, Mexico, with select voyages also featuring Disney Castaway Cay and Nassau in The Bahamas. These itineraries combine beach-focused relaxation with culturally rich port experiences.
Popular Themed Sailings Return
Seasonal favorites will once again be part of the lineup. Select domestic sailings will feature:
- Halloween on the High Seas (September–October 2026)
- Very Merrytime Cruises (November–December 2026)
These themed voyages include festive décor, special entertainment, and limited-time onboard experiences tailored for families.
Additional Highlights
Alongside the California and Texas expansion, Disney Cruise Line will have five ships sailing from Florida, as well as the return of three- and four-night cruises aboard Disney Adventure from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre.
